Creates time to check-in on one another

In our busy lives, it can be difficult to make time to talk and check-in with one-another. In addition, many parents find mornings and the after-school period particularly stressful times, as they rush around trying to fit things in, battle school-run traffic, and struggle to find suitable places to park.

Walking to school can help create a stress-free space in your routine to breathe and check-in with one another. This can be great for developing your child’s social and way-finding skills, as well as your relationship and bond with them.

For older children, it’s a nice opportunity to catch up outside the school environment and develop new friendships.
