Successes and lessons learned
This scheme was refreshed in 2022/3 with the aim of engaging independent businesses.
BCUHB collaborated with Dewis Cymru to develop additional options for families to find Breastfeeding Welcome businesses in their area.
Breastfeeding Welcome Communities was an additional scheme looking to recruit 50%+ of businesses in a given area where there was also a breastfeeding support group; the target was achieved in three communities.
Practical lessons were shared for any team wishing to roll a similar scheme out locally.
