FOI 2024 116 - Legal definition of Opt Out

 

Information Requested:

Under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, please provide the legal definition and duration of the term ‘Opt Out’ when declining the offer of a medical procedure. 

  

This request is quite specific and requires no clarification whatsoever. Additionally, I accept no obfuscation or reinterpretation.

Thank you for your recent request. 

 

We do not have a specific legal definition of the term ‘Opt Out’ however our procedure for this is detailed in the attached Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and letters.
